Beth Wales of PEFMBP Honored with 2010 Marketer of Excellence Award
The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association (NYCRAMA) announces that Beth Wales, Marketing Executive for the Public Employees Federation Membership Benefits Program (PEFMBP), will be honored as the 2010 Marketer of Excellence.
Wales oversees the Membership Benefits Program of PEF, a member association comprising 59,000 New York state employees in the Professional, Scientific and Technical (PST) Union and approximately 5,000 retired PEF members. She has been with the association since 2008. Wales has pioneered a multi-media marketing platform that blends traditional direct mail tactics with digital communication. Last fall, the association carried out the most successful insurance open enrollment period in the 30-year history of the initiative.
The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association announces the finalists for the 2010 Mark of Excellence Awards. This year's competition was open to marketing campaigns from 2008 and 2009, producing one of the largest and most competitive fields in the 16-year history of the competition.
Nominations were submitted in May to a distinguished panel of marketing professionals from across the country. Judging was based on both creativity and measurable results. The judges culled the field of entrants to ten finalists:
