Annual Student Scholarship

The New York Capital Region Chapter of the American Marketing Association (NYCRAMA) Student Scholarship recognizes and rewards talented student marketers (and their faculty mentors) for their marketing talent. The Student Scholarship not only recognizes marketing excellence, but also provides a $1,000 monetary award.

Student Scholarship Winner 2012 Jessica Abel with then President Laura LachellOur 2012 Scholarship Winner was Jessica Abel, a junior at Siena College, as the winner of the 2012 Student Scholarship. Jessica developed an exceptional marketing plan for the Homeless and Travelers Aid Society (HATAS).

The 2013 award is open to students at the students at any of these accredited colleges and universities in the Capital Region:
  • Adirondack Community College
  • Empire State College
  • Excelsior College
  • Hudson Valley Community College
  • Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
  • The Sage Colleges
  • Schenectady County Community College
  • Siena College

Our professional chapter has hundreds of members in every facet of marketing, advertising and PR. We've even helped find HR, accounting and legal professionals to speak with student groups about issues specific to our industry.

Every month, our chapter reaches out to students and professors with invitations to hear world-class speakers. These events are great opportunities to meet chapter members (and future employers!).

Our professional members are available for mentorship and can provide a real-world perspective on the fields of advertising, branding, marketing communications, and public relations.
