2010 Mark of Excellence Finalists Announced

The New York Capital Region chapter of the American Marketing Association announces the finalists for the 2010 Mark of Excellence Awards. This year's competition was open to marketing campaigns from 2008 and 2009, producing one of the largest and most competitive fields in the 16-year history of the competition.

Nominations were submitted in May to a distinguished panel of marketing professionals from across the country. Judging was based on both creativity and measurable results. The judges culled the field of entrants to ten finalists:

• EYP Architecture and Engineering PC | Campaign: Carbon Zero

• Mosaic Associates Architects | Campaign: DCLW Name Change and Rebranding Effort

• PEF Membership Benefits Program | Campaign: Unique Double Enrollment

• Plug Power (marketing partner: Zone 5) | Campaign: Meet GenSys Blue

• Rueckert Advertising & Public Relations, LLC | Campaign: 2009 Freihofer Run for Women

• St. Peter's Health Care Services | Campaign: Better Outcomes for a Better Life

• Transfinder Corporation | Campaign: Rebranding Rollout 2009

The finalists have been notified, and are busy preparing more detailed profiles of their campaigns for the second round of judging by a panel of nationally recognized marketers. Round Two judging will commence in July. The panel will be looking closely at strategy, execution and results. With only a few points separating the top 10 scorers after the first round, this year's Mark of Excellence Awards are still very much in play. Stay tuned for final results!
